Monitoring Assignments

Under the new WY State Plan participating station monitoring assignments will change.  The LP1 most stations will monitor will now be one of the stations of Wyoming Public Radio.  The LP2 that most stations will monitor will be the most powerful station in the Operational Area.  This will mean that some stations that have been Participating Stations (PN) may now be a LP1 or LP2.  Many LP1 or LP2 stations may now be a PN.  Check the tables below to see your Alerting Source status. 

If your station is listed as a First Alerting Source, your First Alerting Source will be the Wyoming Public Radio network and your Second Alerting Source will be the LP2 in your Operational Area.

If your station is listed as a Second Alerting Source your First Alerting Source will be the designated First Alerting Source for Your Operational Area and your Second Alerting Source will be the National Weather Service.

If your station is not listed as a First Alerting Source or a Second Alerting Source it should be assumed that you are a Participating Station (PN).  Your should then monitor the designated First Alerting Source and Second Alerting Source for your Operational Area.  You should also monitor the National Weather Service as an Additional Monitoring Source.
